Give From Your IRA
If you’re 70½ or older and have an IRA, you can give directly to the League through an IRA Charitable Rollover Gift. It’s a simple, tax-smart way to support the League: you pay no income tax on the gift, even if you don’t itemize deductions, and it may count toward your required minimum distribution for the year.
Minnie Fisher Cunningham Society
The Minnie Fisher Cunningham Legacy Society honors the League’s history while helping secure its future. Established in 2004, the Society encourages planned gifts and multi-year pledges that help the League continue its work to empower voters and defend democracy.
The Society is named for Minnie Fisher Cunningham, a leading Texas suffragist and the first executive secretary of the League of Women Voters of the United States. Her persistent advocacy helped make Texas the first southern state to ratify the 19th Amendment in 1919.
