Voter Intimidation
Can Include
But Not Limited To:
- Direct confrontation of voters
- Insulting, offensive, or threatening language
- Raised voices meant to intimidate
- Spreading false information about voter requirements
- Blocking entry to a polling place
- Acting as a poll watcher without proper certification
- Threats or use of physical force
- Possession of firearms inside a polling place
(except authorized peace officers)

The Texas Election Protection coalition is a trusted, nonpartisan network dedicated to ensuring every eligible voter can cast a ballot safely and without interference.
Through a statewide partnership of civic and legal organizations trained volunteers provide real-time support to voters at polling locations and through the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline.
These volunteers serve as poll monitors and voter advocates, answering questions, identifying problems, and connecting voters to immediate legal assistance when needed.
